Hanna, an addition to the #HOBtravelteam, splits her time between a salon in her hometown in Illinois, 30 minutes outside of St. Louis, and House of Blondes here in Naples.

 

She always knew this was the field she was meant to be in. At 17, she just had her hair colored and it took a horrible turn. Her aunt was in cosmetology school at the time and took Hanna with her to school with her the next day. She sat through her theory class and they all took on the challenge to try and fix her color! She was completely fascinated by the entire process and knew from that moment on, this was the career for her! 

 

Her specialties include: Blonding, Highlights, Balayage, Lived in color and Extensions. Her dream client is someone with medium to long length hair, who is currently blonde and wanting to go brighter, add dimension or transition to a more lived in color! 

 

Her positive and patient personality helps her approach her clients by listening to their hair goals and clarifying expectations prior to their service. She approaches each client’s goals with a “work smarter, not harder” skill set, allowing optimal use of both of our time, while still providing the results of their dreams.  She loves the challenge of a client who reveals “nobody has been able to make me blonde enough” and enjoys seeing their reaction when she is able to accomplish their goals. Her main goal is to present a realistic timeline with a client’s hair goals, while at the same time striving to always reach those goals as quickly and as safely possible. One of her favorite hair mottos is the simplistic phrase “under promise & over deliver”. While this mindset sets a realistic timeline, nothing fires Hanna up more than knocking those expectations out of the park! The pure joy and happiness in someone’s reaction when they see the finished process of their hair color is what continues to inspire her everyday. She admits she loves her job just as much if not more than she did when it first started!

 

Fun facts: Outside of the salon you can find Hanna spending time with her husband and their two dogs, laying by the pool, or trying out new restaurants with friends! She loves to be outdoors, whether that’s finding a new trial to hike or enjoying a good cocktail on a patio!
